East Dunbartonshire Council required an automatic bollard system to control access into a pedestrian zone; the aim was to give controlled access in with free access out of the area. Macs Automated Bollards installed a single automatic bollard to control traffic, a camera has been installed at the bollard site and connected back to the main CCTV control centre where they are able to allow access when required with a free to exit system also in place to allow exit through the bollards back on the main highway.
As with all Macs Automated Bollard systems this project was designed with ongoing maintenance at the forefront of our plans, CCTV or VNPR are highly recommended in order to remove risks associated with collisions.
