A new road was constructed to link two estates for the use of a local bus service. One automatic rising  bollard was required to secure the road for bus only traffic. The local bus company were provided with a tag which when linked to a reader near to the rising bollard allowed buses only to access through the bollard. This has benefited the local community in that an isolated estate now has a bus service without creating a ‘rat run’ effect.

We have 8 sites in this picturesque county, Newquay, Truro, Redruth, Falmouth and St.Austell, many of these towns attract thousands of visitors and locals alike, MACS has worked with Cornwall County Council for many years we have built, designed and installed each automatic bollard system to match the requirements and needs of each site. On many of these sites automatic rising  bollards and associated equipment had to complement the local colour schemes and to fit the aesthetics of the neighbourhoods.

A dual automatic bollard system was installed to improve the safety, efficiency and vehicle control of this major city centre artery into Market Square. The installation was extremely high profile, situated close to the Town Hall and alongside the famous Brian Clough statue which draws visitors from around the world. A rising bollard system was the only safe and controlled option to be considered and Macs Automated Bollard Systems are proud to be associated with this and other planned bollard schemes for Nottingham City Council.
