CHAS
The official Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme is jointly run by a number of Local Authorities and other leading organisations. Being CHAS approved allows us to work within the public and private sector and demonstrates that we surpass their standards with regards to our health and safety policy statement as well as and our code of conduct on-site at customers' premises.
Safecontractor
Safecontractor is the contractor and service providers’ accreditation scheme from National Britannia Information Services Division that assesses the health & safety guidelines and documentation which we work to. Our SAFEcontractor certificate demonstrates our Health and Safety competence standards which cover core elements including policy, risk assessment and first aid.
Eurosafe/CDM competent
Macs Automated Bollard Systems have been assessed as CDM Competent by Eurosafe UK.
Many customers, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 only appoint contractors who are able to demonstrate that they have the resources and competency to execute their roles with regard to health and safety.
We scored very highly overall but in particular on the Health and Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, First Aid and the appointment of partner contractors.
Constructionline
Macs Automated Bollard Systems are delighted to announce that we have now completed our membership with Constructionline; the public sector preapproved procurement website.
Constructionline is a valuable resource to businesses of our size as it helps to greatly reduce the amount of time spent completing tender documentation; this is achieved by preapproving Macs for contracts of up to £250,000 with in our specialist area of bollard installations on the public highway.
We are very much looking forward to working with Constructionline in further establishing Macs Automated Bollard Systems as a leading supplier of traffic management solutions.
Highways Agency
Our bollard installations are designed comply with Highways Agency standard TR2510, however, whenever possible we still install to the more stringent and safer Highways Agency standard the TR2207A.
Health and Safety at Work
We work within the latest health and safety legislation guidelines.
All our engineers carry a copy of the Macs Health & Safety Policy document, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessment and Manual Handling Assessments in accordance to specific works carried out at your premises.
